What does this TVS actually protect?
The 1.5SMC36CAHM6G: It clamps transients at 49.9V maximum when the peak pulse current reaches 31A, and its 30.8V reverse standoff voltage means it stays off the bus during normal operation — only conducting when the line exceeds 34.2V breakdown. Because it's bidirectional, a single device protects both polarities on a signal or power rail — useful for AC-coupled lines or where the ground reference can swing.
Automotive qualification and why it matters
This part carries an Automotive grade and is AEC-Q101 qualified — the stress tests (temperature cycling, HTRB, ESD) match the reliability demands of engine bays, transmission controllers, and chassis modules. The 150°C maximum junction temperature gives headroom for hot spots near exhaust or turbocharger paths.
No stock-holding claim is made — each RFQ is handled individually.
