The 1.5SMC36A V7G: This is a Zener-type TVS diode rated for 1500 W peak pulse power at 10/1000 µs waveform. Breakdown starts at 34.2 V minimum, clamping the transient to 49.9 V maximum at the rated 31 A peak pulse current. For a single surge event on a lightly loaded 24 V bus, this part absorbs the transient without the clamping voltage exceeding the downstream IC's abs-max rating.
It uses a DO-214AB (SMC) surface-mount package. It is supplied in Tape & Reel packaging.
