The 1.5SMC24CAHR7G: The single bidirectional channel protects both polarities from a single DO-214AB package — no series arrangement needed for symmetrical clamping on 24 V nominal buses where load-dump and reverse-battery transients arrive in either direction. Minimum breakdown voltage is 22.8 V, so the device begins conducting before the protected rail exceeds the 24 V nominal plus normal regulation tolerance — this margin keeps the TVS out of standby leakage until a real transient arrives.
