1500W Zener TVS — clamping voltage drives the rail choice
The 1.5SMC22AHR7G: The 18.8V reverse standoff means it sits across a nominal 12V or 18V rail without leakage; the 30.6V clamping voltage at 51A peak pulse current defines the maximum transient voltage the protected IC sees. If your downstream device's abs-max rating is below 30.6V, this clamp will not protect it — you need a lower-voltage part in the same 1.5SMC family. Single unidirectional channel, DO-214AB (SMC) surface-mount package.
AEC-Q101 — automotive PPAP-ready
Qualified to AEC-Q101, the automotive discrete stress-test standard. An automotive-grade TVS carries the PPAP documentation and lot traceability that tier-1 suppliers require for production releases.
