The 1.5SMC120CA R7G: The 102V reverse standoff voltage is the maximum continuous DC or AC peak the part blocks without conducting. For a 102V rail, this sits right at the nominal level — the diode stays out of the circuit until a transient pushes the line above the 114V minimum breakdown threshold.
The 1500W rating (10/1000µs waveform) means the diode can safely clamp a 9.5A transient current to 165V maximum. On a 102V DC bus, this protects downstream components from surges up to that energy level without the diode itself failing.
