Active production — 1500 W bidirectional TVS for 7.78 V rails
The 1.5KE9.1CA R0G: It clamps transients at 13.4 V maximum when the peak pulse current hits 117 A, protecting a 7.78 V reverse standoff rail. The single bidirectional channel means it clamps both polarities — no orientation to get wrong on the board.
With a 7.78 V reverse standoff voltage, this TVS sits on a nominal 7.78 V or lower supply rail without conducting in normal operation. When a transient exceeds the 8.65 V minimum breakdown voltage, the Zener avalanche clamps the rail to 13.4 V maximum while shunting 117 A of peak pulse current. That 1500 W peak pulse rating means it absorbs a single 1 ms surge without failing — useful for industrial power inputs or automotive load-dump protection where the energy is short but high. The wide thermal margin means the clamping voltage shifts less across temperature compared to lower-rated parts, keeping the protected rail within tolerance over the full operating range.
