The bidirectional channel (single device) handles both positive and negative transients without polarity concern — useful on AC-coupled data lines or bipolar power buses where a unidirectional part would need an external bridge.
Package and integration into a through-hole board
Housed in a DO-201AA / DO-27 axial leaded package (supplier device package DO-201), the part is a standard through-hole fit. The axial leads suit point-to-point wiring, terminal block termination, or PCB through-hole mounting with 0.040-inch diameter holes. No special reflow profile — hand-solder or wave-solder at typical 260°C peak.
