Transient suppressor for 36.8 V rails
The 1.5KE43CA B0G: It clamps transients at 59.3 V maximum, protecting a 36.8 V nominal rail from surges like load dump or inductive kickback.
Clamping and current envelope
Reverse standoff voltage is 36.8 V — the TVS draws negligible leakage below this level. This means a 36.8 V supply bus sees the overvoltage clipped before it reaches downstream silicon. The 1500 W rating is for a 10/1000 µs exponential waveform — shorter pulses allow higher peak current; longer pulses require derating. The DO-201AA axial package handles the thermal pulse without secondary breakdown within the SOA.
The through-hole axial package (DO-201AA / DO-27) is a standard footprint for board-level transient protection — easy to hand-replace in rework or field service.
