1500 W bidirectional clamp for 24 V rails
The 1.5KE30CA R0G: Its 25.6 V reverse standoff voltage sits above the steady-state rail, so it does not conduct during normal operation, while the 28.5 V minimum breakdown triggers before the downstream circuitry sees damaging overvoltage. At the 41.4 V clamping point, the device shunts up to 38 A of surge current (10/1000 µs waveform), absorbing the pulse energy without exceeding the 1500 W peak power rating.
Through-hole package and temperature range
Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package, the 1.5KE30CA R0G mounts through-hole — the leads handle the thermal cycling of wave-solder assembly and the body is robust enough for manual rework. The supplier device package is DO-201. Rated for junction temperatures from -55°C to +175°C, it covers the full industrial temperature envelope, including cold starts and hot enclosures near motor drives. No power-line protection function is built in — this is a pure transient suppressor for signal and low-power DC rails.
