Surge rating and clamping voltage
The 1.5KE300CA R0G: The 414V maximum clamping voltage at 3.8A peak pulse current defines the voltage the protected line sees during a surge event — downstream components must survive this level. Reverse standoff voltage is 256V, meaning the device draws negligible leakage below that level. Breakdown occurs at 285V minimum, so the line is protected once it exceeds the working voltage by about 30V.
Supplied in a DO-201AA / DO-27 axial leaded package, through-hole mount. The axial body suits point-to-point wiring or PCB through-hole layouts where a surface-mount TVS would not fit the trace width or clearance requirements. The wide temperature margin means derating for ambient heat is minimal in typical 85°C cabinets.
The 1.5KE series is a mature TVS family with broad second-source availability. No pin-compatible alternative is listed as an official cross-reference, but parametric equivalents from other manufacturers exist in the same DO-201 footprint.
