1.5 kW clamping for 15 V rails
The 1.5KE18A B0G: With a 15.3 V reverse standoff voltage, it protects 15 V DC rails from transients up to 25.5 V clamping at 60 A peak pulse current.
Breakdown and clamping margins
Minimum breakdown voltage is 17.1 V, ensuring the device starts conducting before the protected circuitry sees damaging overvoltage. The 25.5 V maximum clamping voltage at 60 A Ipp gives a 10.2 V margin above the 15.3 V standoff — adequate for most 15 V bus transients without secondary breakdown. Power line protection is not supported — this is a unidirectional device for DC rails, not AC mains.
Through-hole DO-201 package
Supplied in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial leaded package, through-hole mount. The DO-201 footprint is standard for 1.5 kW TVS diodes — the large body and axial leads handle the thermal pulse without board-level heat sinking. Bulk packaging suits low-to-medium volume assembly.
Active production, no direct cross
Taiwan Semiconductor lists the 1.5KE18A B0G as Active. For BOM continuity, the 1.5KE series is widely second-sourced by other brands — confirm pin-compatible alternatives at RFQ.
