Surge protection for 154V rails
The 1.5KE180CAHB0G: It clamps transients at 246V max, protecting downstream electronics on a 154V nominal rail.
Protection window and clamping behaviour
The reverse standoff voltage is 154V — the diode draws negligible leakage below this level. Breakdown occurs at 171V minimum, and the clamping voltage is capped at 246V at the 6.4A peak pulse current (10/1000µs). This gives a 92V window between the rail and the clamp, enough to absorb common automotive load-dump and inductive-kick transients. Power line protection is not supported — the part is designed for signal or low-power supply rails, not for direct mains or high-current bus clamping.
