1500W bidirectional TVS for general-purpose rail clamping

Clamping window and surge rating
The 13.6V standoff voltage means the diode draws negligible leakage below that rail level — it sits across the protected line without loading it. When a surge pushes the line above 15.2V, the device starts conducting and clamps at 22.5V worst case, shunting up to 70A of the 10/1000µs surge through the junction. The 1500W peak pulse rating is the product of clamping voltage and peak current at the specified waveform — a standard metric for comparing TVS diodes. On a 13.6V rail, this part absorbs transients that would otherwise punch through downstream silicon.
