1.5 kW surge clamp for a 128 V rail
The 1.5KE150A A0G: It clamps at 207 V maximum when conducting 7.6 A of surge current, protecting downstream circuitry on a 128 V nominal rail.
Clamping voltage and breakdown margin
Reverse standoff voltage is 128 V — the rail can ride at this level continuously without the diode conducting. Breakdown occurs between 143 V minimum and the clamping ceiling of 207 V, giving roughly 15 V of headroom before the device starts to avalanche. The 7.6 A peak pulse current is the current at which the clamping voltage is specified; actual surge current in the application depends on the source impedance and the energy of the transient.
Housed in a DO-201AA / DO-27 axial-lead through-hole package (supplier device package DO-201), the part mounts with standard 0.036-inch diameter leads and requires a 1.1 mm hole diameter on the PCB. Supplied in Tape & Box (TB) packaging, not tape-and-reel — the axial leads are arranged in ammo-pack style for through-hole insertion machines. No power line protection feature is implemented; this is a unidirectional device for DC rail clamping, not AC mains.
