The 1.5KE130A B0G: When a transient exceeds the 124V minimum breakdown voltage, the diode clamps at 179V maximum while shunting 8.7A peak pulse current. That 179V ceiling is the voltage the downstream circuitry must survive — a 150V-rated MOSFET or capacitor would see its margin eroded, so a 200V-rated part is the safer call on the protected side.
Through-hole DO-201 for bench and board rework
Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial leaded package, this part is through-hole mounted — no hot-air rework needed, just a soldering iron and a steady hand. The axial leads make it straightforward to extract and replace on a populated board without lifting a pad, which matters when a prototype or repair board sees multiple transient events during debug. The wide junction margin means the diode can absorb repeated pulse energy without derating the ambient ceiling, as long as the average power stays within the lead-temperature limits of the solder joint.
