Protection window for a 12V rail
The 1.5KE12CA R0G: This bidirectional TVS clamps at 16.7V maximum (at 94A peak pulse current, 10/1000µs waveform) and breaks down at a minimum of 11.4V. The 10.2V reverse standoff voltage means it sits across a 12V DC rail without conducting in normal operation, then fires when a transient pushes above the breakdown threshold. The bidirectional channel clamps both positive and negative spikes, so a single part protects AC-coupled signal lines or bipolar supplies without needing two diodes back-to-back.
Through-hole axial package for rework and prototyping
Housed in a DO-201AA / DO-27 axial leaded package (supplier device package DO-201), this is a through-hole part. It hand-solders easily and can be replaced in rework without hot-air gear — useful for bench prototypes or field repairs where a surface-mount TVS would be harder to swap. No power line protection feature — this is a general-purpose transient suppressor, not a dedicated rail clamp for AC mains.
