Product details

Automotive-grade transient suppression for 94V rails

The 1.5KE110AH: Its 94 V reverse standoff voltage protects 94 V nominal rails, clamping transients to 152 V maximum at 10.3 A peak pulse current. Qualified to AEC-Q101, this part is suited for automotive electronics where reliability screening and temperature cycling are mandatory.

For a 94 V rail, this provides a guard band against steady-state overvoltage without leakage. Breakdown voltage (V_BR) is specified at 105 V minimum, ensuring the device starts clamping before the rail exceeds its absolute maximum rating. The 152 V clamping voltage (V_C) at 10.3 A limits the transient energy let-through to downstream components. The 1500 W peak pulse rating (10/1000 µs) is the standard TVS power metric. For shorter pulses (e.g., 8/20 µs), the peak power capability is higher; for longer pulses, derate per the datasheet curve. This rating governs the surge current the diode can absorb without failure.

Package and board integration

Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package, the 1.5KE110AH is a through-hole device. The DO-201 footprint is standard for 1.5 kW TVS diodes; the axial leads allow hand or wave soldering and provide good thermal conduction to the PCB pads. The single unidirectional channel protects one rail. For bidirectional protection on AC or bipolar lines, two devices back-to-back or a bidirectional variant is needed.
