Load-switching envelope and gate drive
Rated 1 A RMS on-state current with a 400 V off-state blocking voltage — this triac switches resistive or lightly inductive AC loads up to that current and voltage. The non-repetitive surge rating of 8 A at 50 Hz and 8.5 A at 60 Hz gives the device headroom for inrush events like lamp cold-start or motor start. Gate trigger current is 3 mA maximum with a gate trigger voltage of 1.3 V maximum, so a standard logic-level signal from a microcontroller or optocoupler can drive it directly without a pre-driver stage. The 7 mA maximum holding current means the triac stays latched once triggered until the load current drops below that threshold near the AC zero-cross.
The three-lead inline footprint is a standard 0.100-inch pitch; the part mounts directly into a PCB or a socket.
Temperature grade and environment
The triac can be deployed in outdoor enclosures, HVAC controls, or engine-bay auxiliary circuits where ambient temperatures reach 85°C or higher, provided the junction temperature stays within the 125°C absolute maximum.
