TSC212ICT — low-power current sense amp for 24 V industrial and automotive rails
The STMicroelectronics TSC212ICT is a single-channel current sense amplifier in a SC-70-6 package. It draws 65 µA supply current and delivers a 6 kHz gain-bandwidth product.
Supply current and bandwidth — the trade-off for low-power sensing
At 65 µA supply current, the TSC212ICT is optimised for always-on monitoring in battery-backed or power-budgeted designs. The 6 kHz gain-bandwidth product limits the usable signal frequency to roughly 1 kHz for gains above 6 — adequate for DC bus current, solenoid current, or motor phase current at low RPM, but not for high-frequency switching supplies. If you need faster response, the TSC200IDT (same package, 1 MHz GBW) draws more supply current but handles higher bandwidth.
