4 MHz GBW and 1.3 V/µs slew rate — signal bandwidth ceiling
The TS924AIPT is a quad general-purpose op-amp from STMicroelectronics with a 4 MHz gain-bandwidth product and 1.3 V/µs slew rate. That GBW means the open-loop gain holds flat up to about 4 kHz at a closed-loop gain of 1000 — beyond that, the gain rolls off at 20 dB/decade. The slew rate of 1.3 V/µs limits the full-power bandwidth: a 1 V peak output swing starts slewing above about 200 kHz, so keep the signal amplitude in check if you need clean edges at higher frequencies. With rail-to-rail output and a supply span from 2.7 V to 12 V, this part runs on a single 3.3 V or 5 V rail without needing a negative supply — common in automotive sensor interfaces where the ADC reference is the same rail. The 80 mA output per channel can drive a multiplexed ADC input or a small relay coil directly, though the thermal limit in the 14-TSSOP package will constrain continuous drive at the high end.
AEC-Q100 Grade 1 — under-hood temperature tolerance
Qualified to AEC-Q100 with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, the TS924AIPT is rated for Grade 1 automotive environments — engine bay, transmission control, or any location where the ambient hits 125°C. The 15 nA input bias current and 900 µV input offset voltage are typical for a general-purpose bipolar stage; at 125°C the bias current roughly doubles every 10°C, so budget for 1-2 µA of input current in a high-temperature sensor front-end.
Quad-channel density for multi-sensor conditioning
Four circuits in a single 14-TSSOP package save board space compared to four single op-amps. Each channel draws 1 mA supply current, so the total quiescent draw is 4 mA — negligible in a 12 V automotive system but worth noting in a battery-backed module. The 80 mA output per channel can source or sink enough current to drive a 100 nF capacitive load with reasonable stability; heavier loads may need a series resistor to keep the phase margin above 45°.
