The TL071ACN is a single-channel JFET-input operational amplifier from Texas Instruments. The JFET front end delivers a typical input bias current of 20 pA, which keeps the voltage error low when the source impedance is high — think photodiode transimpedance, piezoelectric sensors, or precision integrators where a bipolar op-amp's nanoamp bias would dominate the offset. The 16 V/µs slew rate and 4 MHz gain-bandwidth product give the part enough dynamic range for audio processing, active filters up to several hundred kHz, and general-purpose signal conditioning where the signal does not need to swing rail-to-rail at high frequency.
It operates from a single or split supply spanning 6 V to 36 V total. The 1.4 mA supply current is modest.
For new designs, a pin-compatible alternate in the same DIP footprint would need to be sourced from the remaining inventory or through the independent channel. We source the TL071ACN to order against an RFQ. If you have a BOM line that calls out the DIP package specifically, this is the part to specify; if the board can accept an SOIC-8, a current-production TL071 variant avoids the obsolescence risk.
