30 W per channel into 8 Ω — the headline output rating
Rated 30 W per channel into an 8 Ω load, the TDA7265B drives a stereo pair of 8-ohm speakers to that level continuously — the limiting factor is the thermal dissipation in the Multiwatt-11 package, not the output stage itself. The supply range spans ±8 V to ±33 V, accommodating both single-rail and split-rail topologies; the designer picks the rail voltage that matches the target output power and speaker impedance. Built-in depop, mute, short-circuit and thermal protection, and standby reduce the external BOM count — no separate muting relay or protection controller needed for a self-contained amplifier stage.
Multiwatt-11 through-hole — footprint and integration
Operating temperature range is -20°C to 85°C ambient — this is a commercial/industrial grade, not automotive; the part suits consumer audio, powered speakers, and industrial audio signalling where the enclosure stays above freezing.
Pin-to-pin with TDA7265A — the 25 W sibling
The TDA7265A and TDA7265 share the same Multiwatt-11 package, same feature set (depop, mute, protection, standby), and same supply voltage range — the only parametric difference is the output power: 25 W per channel at 8 Ω vs the TDA7265B's 30 W. A board laid out for the TDA7265A accepts the TDA7265B without a PCB spin — the pinout and footprint are identical; the higher output power simply requires adequate heatsinking to keep the junction below the 85°C ambient ceiling.
