Sensitive-gate triac for low-power drive
The STMicroelectronics T405Q-600H is a logic-level sensitive-gate triac rated for 600 V off-state voltage and 4 A RMS on-state current. The 5 mA maximum gate trigger current (Igt) lets a microcontroller GPIO or a low-voltage logic output fire the triac directly, eliminating the driver transistor and its associated bias resistors. That saves roughly three components per phase on a BOM for a small appliance control or a solid-state relay front-end.
