The STPS8H100G is a 100 V, 8 A Schottky rectifier from STMicroelectronics in a D2PAK surface-mount package. The 100 V reverse voltage gives headroom for 48 V bus rectification or 24 V flyback secondary outputs, while the 8 A average current rating suits continuous-conduction PFC boost stages and output OR-ing diodes. Forward voltage is specified at 710 mV maximum at 8 A — that 5.68 W conduction loss at full load sets the thermal budget for the D2PAK footprint. The fast recovery characteristic (≤500 ns at >200 mA) means this is a Schottky with controlled switching behaviour, not a standard ultrafast — the Schottky barrier itself gives the low forward drop, and the recovery time is inherent to the majority-carrier structure.
Sourcing is through independent and surplus distribution. The D2PAK footprint is common across the STPS8H series, so a pin-compatible replacement within the same package is the practical path for a last-time-buy or repair stock.
