30 V, 15 A dual Schottky — conduction loss and package
The STPS30L30CR is a dual Schottky rectifier array from STMicroelectronics, configured as a common-cathode pair in a single TO-262-3 (I2PAK) through-hole package.
Switching speed — ≤ 500 ns recovery
Listed as a fast-recovery device with recovery time ≤ 500 ns above 200 mA, this part suits low-voltage, high-frequency rectification and OR-ing diode applications where switching losses matter. The Schottky barrier itself gives negligible stored charge, so the recovery time is dominated by junction capacitance and the RC snubber network.
Reverse leakage at 30 V — 1.5 mA ceiling
Maximum reverse leakage is 1.5 mA at the 30 V DC reverse voltage rating. At elevated junction temperatures near the 150°C limit, leakage current rises exponentially and can dominate the thermal budget in continuous conduction — a derating calculation is advised for sustained operation above 100°C.
Obsolete — sourcing and replacement
For new designs or sustained production, a functionally equivalent dual-Schottky in the same I2PAK footprint should be evaluated — the 15 A per diode, 30 V rating, and common-cathode configuration are the critical selection parameters.
