45 V, 15 A common-cathode Schottky — what you are getting
The STPS3045CPIRG is a dual Schottky rectifier from STMicroelectronics, packing two 15 A, 45 V diodes in a common-cathode pair inside a TOP-3 Insulated (TOP-3I) through-hole package. Reverse leakage is specified at 200 µA at the full 45 V rating. The 200°C maximum junction temperature gives thermal headroom for demanding power-supply or OR-ing applications, provided the heatsink is sized right.
ST officially lists the STPS3045CPIRG as Obsolete. That means no further production runs from the factory — no last-time-buy window, no ongoing fab commitment. If this diode is on your BOM, you are looking at the surplus and broker channel for remaining inventory. A common-cathode Schottky in TOP-3I at 45 V / 15 A from another brand may fit, but verify the lead form and insulated tab before committing a board spin.
Mounting and thermal reality
That saves assembly time and reduces thermal resistance versus a non-insulated tab. The package is large enough to bolt down with a screw through the mounting hole, and the leads are stout enough for a field swap with a standard soldering iron. No lab bench required — just a clean tip and a steady hand.
