The STPS2L60UF is a 60 V, 2 A Schottky rectifier in a low-profile SMBflat package. The 60 V reverse voltage covers 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V rails with margin; the 2 A average forward current suits secondary-side rectification, freewheeling diodes, and polarity protection in power supplies up to about 50 W. Package and rework — SMBflat under the hot air
The SMBflat (DO-221AA) package is a low-profile surface-mount body with flat leads — no J-bend, no gull-wing. That flat lead sits flush on the pad, which makes solder-paste inspection straightforward and rework predictable. The package body is small enough that a standard hot-air nozzle at 350 °C will lift it cleanly without cooking the adjacent passives, provided the board has a thermal relief on the cathode pad. The junction temperature ceiling is 150 °C maximum. In a 2 A continuous application at 85 °C ambient, the thermal budget is tight — the SMBflat's junction-to-ambient thermal resistance means the copper pad area on the PCB sets the real current limit. A 1 oz copper pour of at least 300 mm² under the cathode tab keeps the junction below 125 °C at full load.
