200 V Schottky in a low-profile SMBflat — what it buys you
The STPS2200UF is a 200 V, 2 A Schottky rectifier from ST, in the SMBflat (DO-221AA) package. The 200 V reverse rating is the standout — most 2 A Schottkys top out at 100 V or 150 V. That extra headroom matters in 48 V telecom rectifiers, 24 V industrial supplies with flyback spikes, or any rail where the Schottky sees reflected voltage above 100 V.
175°C junction — hot environment ready
That 175°C ceiling puts it in the industrial/motor-drive class — it can sit next to a hot MOSFET or on a power supply board with limited airflow. The forward drop is 800 mV max at 2 A, which is typical for a 200 V Schottky; the trade-off for the high voltage rating is a slightly higher Vf than a 40 V Schottky, but the reverse leakage stays at 5 µA at 200 V.
SMBflat package — thinner than standard SMB
The SMBflat (DO-221AA) is a surface-mount package with flat leads, lower profile than a standard SMB. That matters when board-to-board clearance is tight or when you are placing the diode on the bottom side of a dense PCB. The flat leads also improve solder joint inspection — the fillet is visible from the side, unlike a gull-wing where the heel is hidden.
