The STMicroelectronics STPS20SM60SG-TR is a 20 A, 60 V Schottky rectifier in a surface-mount D2PAK (TO-263) package. The 630 mV forward voltage at 20 A keeps conduction losses manageable, and the fast recovery characteristic (under 500 ns) suits it for switching frequencies above 200 mA.
The 20 A average rectified current rating is the headline number, but it comes with a junction temperature ceiling of 150 °C. In a real board, the D2PAK tab must be soldered to a substantial copper pour — without that thermal path, the junction will exceed the limit well before 20 A continuous. The 85 µA reverse leakage at 60 V is a room-temperature figure; expect it to rise significantly at the 125 °C junction end of the operating range, which is normal for Schottky diodes and should be factored into the thermal budget for high-ambient designs.
