Dual Schottky rectifier for OR-ing and output rectification
The forward drop is specified at 840 mV maximum at 20 A total, and the device is classified as Fast Recovery (≤ 500 ns, > 200 mA Io). Packaged in a through-hole TO-251-3 IPAK (TO-251AA), it is intended for low-voltage, high-current applications such as switch-mode power supply output rectification, freewheeling diodes, and OR-ing diodes in redundant power systems.
Ratings and design margin
The 10 A per-diode average rating is specified without a heatsink condition — the IPAK tab carries the heat, so a PCB copper area or clip-on heatsink is assumed for continuous operation near the limit. Reverse leakage is 100 µA at 45 V, typical for a Schottky of this voltage class; it rises with junction temperature, so a hot environment increases the quiescent loss in OR-ing applications.
