It switches fast — recovery ≤500 ns above 200 mA — making it a good fit for high-frequency rectification, freewheeling, and OR-ing in switch-mode power supplies and DC-DC converters. The pair shares a cathode, so it handles center-tap or push-pull secondary windings with one package. Junction temperature is rated up to 175°C, which gives thermal headroom in cramped power stages.
Forward drop and leakage — the trade-off at 150 V
At 10 A forward current the maximum forward voltage is 920 mV — typical for a 150 V Schottky, where the blocking voltage pushes Vf up compared to lower-voltage parts. Reverse leakage is specified at 5 µA at 150 V, which is tight for a Schottky at that voltage; it keeps stand-by losses low in OR-ing or reverse-protection circuits. The common-cathode layout means the two anodes are separate, so each diode can be paralleled for higher current or used independently on different rails.
D²Pak package — thermal and mounting notes
The STPS20150CG comes in a TO-263-3 (D²Pak) surface-mount package with an exposed tab. No lab bench needed for a swap, but the tab orientation is obvious from the package outline; just make sure the pad is big enough to sink the 20 A total if both diodes run hard. The tube shipping is fine for rework stations, though for production you would want the tape-and-reel variant.
That means no new factory orders; the only channel is surplus or broker stock. The STPS20150CG is still a valid replacement for field repair or BOM fill while stock lasts.
