Fast-recovery Schottky for 60 V secondary-side rectification
The STPS1L60ZF is a 60 V, 1 A Schottky rectifier from STMicroelectronics with a fast recovery time rated at ≤500 ns, making it suitable for freewheeling and flyback catch-diode roles in switch-mode power supplies where recovery speed matters more than a standard Schottky's switching loss. It comes in a SOD-123F surface-mount package, a compact footprint that suits automated assembly and dense PCB layouts in low-power converters, LED drivers, and POL regulators.
175 °C junction — headroom for hot environments
That extra margin matters in under-hood automotive modules, industrial power supplies with poor airflow, or any design where ambient temperature regularly hits 85 °C and self-heating stacks on top. At 60 V reverse bias, the reverse leakage is 50 µA maximum — a typical figure for a 60 V Schottky at this current rating, but one to check against your worst-case junction temperature since leakage doubles with every 10 °C rise.
Forward drop and surge handling
The forward voltage is specified at 750 mV maximum when forward current reaches 2 A — twice the average rating. This gives a rough idea of the drop under pulsed or surge conditions; at the nominal 1 A average current the drop will be lower, typically in the 500–600 mV range for a 60 V Schottky of this die size.
