1 A Schottky for low-voltage rails
The STPS1L30M is a 30 V, 1 A Schottky rectifier from STMicroelectronics in the DO-216AA STmite surface-mount package. Its 390 mV maximum forward voltage at 1 A keeps conduction loss under 0.4 W, which is the key thermal constraint in a 150°C junction environment.
Forward voltage and thermal budget
Reverse leakage at 30 V is 390 µA — typical for a low-Vf Schottky. That leakage doubles with every 10°C rise above 25°C, so at elevated ambient the leakage current adds to the thermal load and must be factored into the junction temperature calculation.
Recovery speed and switching role
Rated fast recovery ≤500 ns at >200 mA Io, which qualifies it for low-frequency rectification and freewheeling in 50/60 Hz power supplies and DC-DC converter output stages. The 500 ns ceiling is not a hard limit for high-frequency switching — for 100 kHz+ designs a faster diode is needed — but it is adequate for line-frequency and moderate-speed switched-mode circuits.
