Each diode is rated for 80 V reverse voltage and 7.5 A average rectified current, with a forward voltage drop of 725 mV at 7.5 A. The Fast Recovery spec (≤ 500 ns, > 200 mA) classifies it as a switching diode suitable for power supply output rectification, freewheeling diodes in motor drives, and OR-ing diodes in redundant power systems. The TO-220 case is a standard field-replaceable package — easy to swap on site with a screwdriver and a soldering iron, no hot-air station needed.

Ratings that matter for the swap
The 80 V reverse voltage (Vr max) sets the ceiling for the DC bus or peak repetitive voltage the diode sees — in a 48 V telecom rectifier or a 24 V industrial supply, that is ample headroom. The 7.5 A per diode average current, with a forward drop of 725 mV at that current, means each die dissipates about 5.4 W at full load; the TO-220 tab needs a heatsink if you push both diodes near their limit. The common-cathode configuration shares the cathode pin (the tab), so the two anodes are the outer pins — orientation is straightforward on a TO-220 footprint.
