45 V, 5 A per leg — where this Schottky pair fits
The STPS10L45CG is a dual Schottky rectifier from STMicroelectronics, configured as a common-cathode pair in a D2PAK surface-mount package. The fast-recovery characteristic (≤500 ns, >200 mA) suits it for switching power supplies and freewheeling diodes in DC-DC converters where Schottky's low Vf and fast turn-off reduce switching loss.
STMicroelectronics lists the STPS10L45CG as obsolete.
The 45 V reverse voltage (Vr) sets the maximum DC blocking voltage — adequate for 12 V and 24 V rails with margin, but tight for 48 V systems where a 60 V part would be preferred. The 530 mV forward drop at 5 A per diode means each leg dissipates about 2.65 W at full rated current; the D2PAK's exposed tab on the PCB carries that heat, so the layout needs a decent copper area or forced airflow to keep the junction below the 150 °C maximum.
