It is classified as a Fast Recovery device (≤ 500 ns, > 200 mA), making it suitable for high-frequency rectification and freewheeling applications in power supplies and DC-DC converters.
The 45 V reverse voltage rating sets the maximum blocking voltage; for a 24 V or 48 V bus, derating to 80% leaves adequate margin. The 10 A average rectified current is the DC output capability in a continuous conduction mode — a 5 A load leaves 50% headroom for surge events.
