35 ns trr — fast recovery for snubbing and flyback
The STMicroelectronics STPR120A is a 200 V, 1 A fast recovery rectifier with a 35 ns reverse recovery time. That trr puts it in the class of diodes used for snubber clamping in flyback converters, freewheeling in low-power motor drives, and as a bootstrap diode in half-bridge gate drivers. The DO-214AC (SMA) package keeps the footprint small enough for dense PSU layouts.
Forward drop and leakage — thermal budget factors
Maximum forward voltage is 940 mV at 1 A, and reverse leakage is 3 µA at the full 200 V reverse rating. The leakage figure matters at elevated junction temperatures — it rises exponentially with temperature and can eat into the standby power budget in a lightly loaded offline supply.
