600 V, 10 A N-channel — SuperMESH die in a full-pack TO-220
The TO-220FP full-pack moulded body isolates the tab electrically — no insulating pad needed against the heatsink, which simplifies assembly and cuts one part from the BOM.
At 10 A the Rds(on) will be higher — the datasheet's typical curve shows the increase — so budget the conduction loss at full load using the junction temperature derating. Gate charge totals 70 nC at 10 V; a typical gate driver delivering 1 A peak charges the gate in about 70 ns, but the switching loss depends on the gate-drive loop inductance and the Miller plateau duration. Input capacitance is 1370 pF at 25 V drain-source. That's moderate — the driver sees a capacitive load that rises with lower Vds, so the turn-on delay stretches if the supply rail is soft. The gate threshold voltage maximum is 4.5 V at 250 µA, which means a 5 V logic gate drive is marginal; a 10 V rail is the safe choice to guarantee the specified Rds(on).
Temperature range and mounting — industrial and harsh-environment fit
The TO-220FP package dissipates up to 35 W at the case — the full-pack moulding adds thermal resistance compared to a standard TO-220 with exposed metal tab, so the heatsink must be sized accordingly. Through-hole mounting suits point-to-point wiring or PCB layouts where vibration resistance matters.
