Active-high open-drain output and threshold selection
This part uses an active-high reset output with an open-drain topology — the output pulls low when the monitored voltage is below threshold, and releases (goes high-impedance) when the rail is good and the timeout expires. The 2.925V threshold sits right around the 3.0V logic rail brownout zone: if your 3.3V supply dips below about 88% of nominal, the STM804SM6F flags it before the processor's internal POR loses margin. The open-drain output lets you wire-OR multiple supervisors to a shared reset line without contention.
Industrial temp range and package fit
The 8-SOIC (150-mil body) footprint is a standard surface-mount package with 1.27mm pin pitch, so it routes on a two-layer board without via congestion under the body. The supplier device package is 8-SOIC, same as the package/case field.
