The 26 I/O pins in the 32-pin package limit parallel peripheral expansion; if you need more than a couple of SPI or UART interfaces simultaneously, check the pin muxing early.
Connectivity and data converters
On the connectivity side, this MCU includes CANbus, I²C, IrDA, LINbus, QSPI, SAI, SPI, SWPMI, UART/USART, and USB — a broad set for a 32-pin device. The USB peripheral supports device and OTG modes, which is often the deciding factor when choosing between this and a smaller STM32L0 part. The data converters are 10-channel 12-bit ADC and 2-channel 12-bit DAC, adequate for basic analog sensing and control but not high-resolution audio or precision measurement.
Rework and handling notes
The 32-UFQFN package with exposed pad is reworkable with hot air if you pre-bake the board per MSL requirements — the pad under the QFN acts as a heatsink, so a preheat from the bottom side helps avoid cold joints.
