80 MHz Cortex-M4 in a 5x5 mm footprint
The STM32L432KCU3 packs an ARM Cortex-M4 core running at 80 MHz into a 32-UFQFPN package measuring 5x5 mm — the smallest footprint in the STM32L4 series. This is the part to reach for when board real estate is tight but you still need a DSP-capable FPU for sensor fusion or motor-control math. The 64 KB SRAM is organised as 64K x 8, which maps cleanly to byte-addressable buffers for communication protocols.
Supply and temperature range — single-rail simplicity
Internal oscillator is on-chip, so a basic application can boot without an external crystal; the clock tree accepts a 4-48 MHz external crystal or a 32.768 kHz RTC crystal when timing accuracy matters.
Peripheral set for fieldbus and analog front-ends
Connectivity includes CAN, USB, QSPI, I²C, SPI, UART/USART, and SAI — enough to bridge a CANopen fieldbus to a UART sensor hub or drive a QSPI NOR flash for data logging. The 10-channel 12-bit ADC and dual 12-bit DAC let you sample analog inputs and generate analog outputs without external converters.
