32 MHz Cortex-M0+ with embedded EEPROM — the low-power workhorse
STM32L083CZT6TR packs 192 KB of Flash, 20 KB of SRAM, and 6 KB of embedded EEPROM, saving an external EEPROM chip on the BOM for parameter storage or calibration data.
Peripheral set and connectivity
Connectivity options include I²C, IrDA, LINbus, SPI, UART/USART, and USB. With 40 I/O lines in a 48-LQFP package (7x7 mm), it provides enough pins for sensor aggregation, small displays, and control loops without needing a larger package.
Data converters and internal oscillator
The analog subsystem includes a 10-channel 12-bit ADC and a 2-channel 12-bit DAC, adequate for reading multiple sensor inputs and generating analog setpoints or audio waveforms. An internal oscillator keeps the BOM lean by eliminating an external crystal for the main clock, though an external clock can be used if tighter timing is required.
