32 MHz Cortex-M0+ with USB and embedded EEPROM
The STM32L072VBI6 is an ultra-low-power 32-bit MCU from STMicroelectronics built around the ARM Cortex-M0+ core running at 32 MHz. With 84 general-purpose I/Os and a 12-bit ADC (16 channels) plus a 12-bit DAC (2 channels), it covers sensor aggregation, human-machine interface, and low-power data logging roles.
The 100-UFBGA package (7x7 mm body) is the smallest footprint for this I/O count, but it demands fine-pitch assembly and X-ray inspection; if your board shop isn't set up for 0.5 mm pitch BGA, the LQFP-100 variant (STM32L072VBT6) is a drop-in alternative on the same die.
The base product number STM32L072 covers a family of Flash and RAM density options in the same package footprint, so if the 128 KB / 20 KB configuration is tight, a pin-compatible upgrade path exists within the series.
