The STM32L072CZT7 is an STMicroelectronics ultra-low-power 32-bit MCU built around an ARM Cortex-M0+ core running at 32 MHz. The 48-LQFP package (7x7 mm) is a common, rework-friendly footprint that a standard hot-air station can handle; no BGA alignment tricks needed.
The 192 KB Flash is organised as 192K x 8 bits — enough for a moderate application stack including a real-time OS, USB stack, and sensor fusion library. The 20 KB SRAM handles run-time data, and the dedicated 6 KB EEPROM (6K x 8) is a standout: you get byte-erasable non-volatile storage for calibration constants, device IDs, or fault logs without wearing the Flash.
