The 32 KB Flash (32K x 8) and 8 KB SRAM (8K x 8) define the application envelope. A typical LoRa sensor node firmware — radio stack, sensor driver, and application loop — fits in about 20 KB of Flash and uses 4 KB of SRAM for buffers, leaving headroom for OTA staging or additional protocol layers. The 1 KB EEPROM (1K x 8) stores calibration coefficients and network credentials without wearing the Flash. If your firmware exceeds 30 KB or the SRAM budget for DMA and communication stacks pushes past 6 KB, step up to the STM32L051 or STM32L073 density options.
