Active production part for low-power edge designs
The 20-TSSOP package with 15 I/O targets space-constrained sensor nodes, handheld instruments, and IoT edge modules where power efficiency is the primary constraint.
The 1.65 V minimum supply means this MCU runs directly from a single alkaline cell down to its end-of-life voltage, eliminating a boost regulator in many portable designs. The 105°C maximum operating temperature extends into under-hood automotive sensor modules and industrial motor-drive enclosures where ambient heat is high. Together, these ratings reduce external power-management and thermal-protection components, shrinking both BOM cost and board area.
The 8 KB RAM supports moderate data buffers and a real-time operating system kernel. The 1 KB EEPROM emulation area handles calibration constants and configuration parameters that survive resets without external storage. Designs needing larger code or data footprints should look at the STM32L0 series higher-density options, but for a focused low-power endpoint this memory tier keeps die cost and active current low.
