The STM32H747AII6 is a 32-bit dual-core MCU from ST's STM32H7 series, pairing an ARM Cortex-M7 core running at 480 MHz with a Cortex-M4 core at 240 MHz. That split lets you dedicate the M7 to number-crunching — FFTs, motor-control loops, image processing — while the M4 handles real-time housekeeping like communication stacks and sensor polling. The 2 MB of Flash (2M x 8) and 1 MB of RAM (1M x 8) give you room for a dual-image firmware scheme without external memory for many designs. The 168 I/O pins and the peripheral set — Ethernet, CANbus, USB OTG, QSPI, SAI, and SPDIF — make this a natural fit for an industrial gateway or a high-end HMI panel that needs to talk to multiple fieldbuses and a display simultaneously.
