480 MHz Cortex-M7 — the compute tier for signal processing and control
The STM32H742IGK6: ARM Cortex-M7 core at 480 MHz with single-cycle multiply-accumulate and double-precision FPU.
Industrial temperature range and active lifecycle
The lifecycle status is Active — no last-time-buy notice, no end-of-life clock ticking.
201-ball UFBGA — what the package means for the board
The 176+25 UFBGA (10x10 mm) is a fine-pitch BGA. This is not a hand-solderable part — you need a stencil, reflow oven, and X-ray inspection. The 0.5 mm ball pitch demands via-in-pad or microvias on a multi-layer PCB. If your shop is set up for BGA assembly, the 10x10 mm footprint saves significant board area versus an LQFP-144. Supply voltage range is 1.62 V to 3.6 V, so a single 3.3 V rail works, but the core runs internally at 1.2 V via the on-chip regulator.
Connectivity and data conversion for system-level integration
Peripherals include Ethernet MAC, two CAN FD controllers, USB OTG HS/FS, QSPI, and 36-channel 16-bit ADC plus two 12-bit DACs.
