170 MHz Cortex-M4 with FPU — real-time control headroom
The STM32G491CCU3: The core runs at 170 MHz with a single-precision FPU and DSP instructions, giving it enough margin for nested control loops — motor field-oriented control, digital power conversion, or sensor fusion — without pushing the clock to the wall. Program memory is 256 KB of Flash, paired with 112 KB of SRAM, which fits moderate firmware stacks with room for OTA staging if the erase granularity is planned around.
Peripheral set: CANbus and mixed-signal on a single die
The data converter block includes 19 analog inputs through a 12-bit SAR ADC and four 12-bit DAC channels. Brown-out reset, power-on reset, and a watchdog timer are built in.
Package and mounting — 48-UFQFN with exposed pad
Housed in a 48-UFQFN Exposed Pad package (7x7 mm body), this is a surface-mount device. The supplier device package designation is 48-UFQFPN (7x7).
Lifecycle and supply posture
For a BOM line, this means no LTB risk and no forced redesign for the foreseeable future.
