170 MHz Cortex-M4 with mixed-signal peripherals
The STM32G473RBT6: The core includes a single-precision FPU and DSP instructions, so a field-oriented control loop or a sensor-fusion filter runs without a separate DSP. On-chip memory is 128 KB of flash and 128 KB of SRAM (128K x 8) — enough for a real-time operating system, a communication stack, and a moderate application buffer without external memory. The flash is single-bank, so simultaneous read-while-write is not supported; plan firmware updates around a bootloader in the first sector.
Analog integration and connectivity
The ADC subsystem provides 26 channels of 12-bit resolution, and the DAC offers 4 channels at 12 bits. For a three-phase current-sense application, the 26-channel count leaves headroom for voltage and temperature monitoring on the same die — no external multiplexer needed. The QSPI interface can drive an external serial flash for data logging without bit-banging.
Package and board integration
52 GPIOs are available in the 64-pin package — a high pin-to-package ratio that suits mixed I/O designs where you need parallel data buses alongside analog inputs.
